Qu’est-ce que l’adoration ? Dans l’introduction, l’auteur écrit :
On a souvent dit que l’adoration est l’occupation la plus élevée à laquelle nous puissions nous adonner. L’être humain a été créé pour adorer. La question est : qu’adorons-nous ? Chacun adore quelque chose ou quelqu’un, qu’il s’en rende compte ou non. Pour nous qui désirons suivre le Seigneur Jésus, ce devrait être l’une des parts les plus importantes de notre vie chrétienne. L’adoration a deux côtés : individuel et collectif. Nous espérons considérer les deux dans cette étude. La Bible nous dit que Dieu « cherche » des adorateurs. Cela nous montre combien ce sujet Lui tient à cœur ! Il doit Lui être important, car on le trouve dans toute la Bible, de la Genèse à l’Apocalypse. Dans cette étude, nous voulons nous plonger dans la Bible et voir ce qu’elle dit de l’adoration du Seigneur.
De manière concise et facile à lire, l’auteur explore ce que la Bible dit de l’adoration. Un livre très actuel, dont on a grand besoin au vu des évolutions que nous voyons s’introduire dans l’Église sous couvert d’adoration. Chaque chapitre se termine par des questions de discussion, pour l’usage personnel ou l’étude en groupe.
What is worship? In the Introduction of this the author writes:
It has often been said that worship is the highest occupation for any of us to be involved in. Mankind has been created for worship. The question is: what are we worshipping? Everyone worships something or someone, whether we realise it or not. For those of us who desire to follow the Lord Jesus, it ought to be one of the most important parts of our Christian life. There are two sides to worship, individual and collective. We hope to look at both in this study. The Bible tells us that God desires or is "seeking" worshipers. This tells us that this subject is extremely important to Him! It must be important to Him, because the subject of worship is found all through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. In this study we would like to dive into the Bible and see what it has to say about worshiping the Lord.
In a concise, easy-to-read way, the author explores the Bible on the subject of worship. This is a very timely book, one that is greatly needed in light of the developments that we now see coming into the Church under the guise of worship. Each chapter concludes with a set of Discussion Questions that can be used for personal use or for group study.

Es ist oft gesagt worden, Anbetung sei die höchste Beschäftigung, der wir nachgehen können. Der Mensch ist zur Anbetung geschaffen. Die Frage ist: Was beten wir an? Jeder betet etwas oder jemanden an, ob er es merkt oder nicht. Für uns, die wir dem Herrn Jesus nachfolgen möchten, sollte Anbetung einer der wichtigsten Teile unseres Christenlebens sein. Sie hat zwei Seiten: die persönliche und die gemeinsame. Beide wollen wir in dieser Studie betrachten. Die Bibel sagt uns, dass Gott Anbeter „sucht“. Das zeigt, wie überaus wichtig Ihm dieses Thema ist! Es muss Ihm wichtig sein, denn es findet sich in der ganzen Bibel, vom ersten Buch Mose bis zur Offenbarung. In dieser Studie wollen wir in die Bibel eintauchen und sehen, was sie über die Anbetung des Herrn sagt.
Knapp und gut lesbar erschließt der Autor, was die Bibel zum Thema Anbetung sagt. Ein sehr zeitgemäßes Buch, das dringend gebraucht wird angesichts der Entwicklungen, die wir heute unter dem Deckmantel der Anbetung in die Kirche eindringen sehen. Jedes Kapitel schließt mit Gesprächsfragen für das persönliche Studium oder die Gruppe.
